Seeking Supervision?
If you are a pre-licensed clinician looking for supervision to complete your required hours, or an already licensed professional looking for ongoing support and learning, I am here to help.
About the Supervisor
I earned my B.A. from Washington and Jefferson College in 2011, followed by a Master’s in Counseling from Waynesburg University in 2013. In 2018, I completed my Ph.D. in Instructional Management and Leadership from Robert Morris University. Most recently, I have participated in a post-master’s certificate program in Clinical Education and Supervision at Waynesburg University, with completion date of May 2025.
Since entering the field in 2013, I have been a practicing Licensed Professional Counselor (PC0008327) in Pennsylvania. My therapeutic approach is informed by formal training in several treatment modalities, including Motivational Interviewing (MI), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I specialize in complex trauma and dissociation and currently work in private practice.
In my supervisory role, I’ve provided both administrative and clinical supervision across a variety of settings. From 2018 to 2021, I served as Clinical Coordinator at Verbal Beginnings, LLC, where I supervised over 20 master’s-level clinicians. I was then promoted to Clinical Director, where I oversaw the clinical integrity of programming for more than 400 clients across nearly 100 clinicians in four states. Prior to that, I worked as Clinical Manager at Wesley Family Services, where I led a multidisciplinary team in the CARES Diagnostic Evaluation and Service Planning program, supporting both clinical and administrative duties.
My Supervisory Approach
I am a Neuro-informed clinician who integrates a deep understanding of the brain, client needs, and the healing process into the supervision experience. With training in EMDR, I enjoy supporting trainees as they develop foundational clinical skills—such as reflective listening, effective questioning, ethical decision-making, cultural awareness and humility, and crisis management/safety planning. In addition, I emphasize Phase 2 EMDR skills like pendulation, emotion regulation, somatic care, and containment, which are universally beneficial for clients navigating intense or disruptive emotional experiences. My approach to supervision aligns with the Discrimination Model (DM), allowing me to shift fluidly between the roles of teacher, counselor, and consultant, based on the trainee’s developmental stage and emerging needs. I assess trainee growth across key domains, including case conceptualization, intervention strategies, and personal personalization within clinical work. I particularly enjoy working with supervisees who are grounded in or curious about theoretical orientations such as CBT, TF-CBT, Somatic Experiencing, EFIT, and IFS.

Though I like to work with each person individually to develop personal goals for our work together, my goals for all of my supervisee's include the following:
1. Demonstrate consistent mastery of your theoretical orientation of choice across sessions
2. Demonstrate effective mastery of foundational counseling techniques and skills
3. Demonstrate trauma-informed care consistently from intake to discharge and beyond
4. Demonstrate consistent compliance with best practice documentation/administration standards
